About Us

Welcome to the Sustainable Design & Systems Medicine Laboratory at Rowan University. Our research focuses on leveraging process systems engineering principles in the areas of healthcare and the environment. We apply principles and methods from mathematical modeling, simulation, programming, data analysis, optimization, control, uncertainty analysis and stochastic processes for predicting treatment strategies and design decisions for problems in healthcare and the environment.

Current research projects include: (1) Design of Wastewater Treatment Systems and Asset Management (2) Solvent Recovery in Industrial Manufacturing Processes (3) Optimization of Pipeline Flushing and Cleaning Operations in Lubricant Blending Facility (4) Understanding respiratory health in COVID19 patients using machine learning, modeling, and control

If you are interested in becoming a part of the research group, please send an email to yenkie@rowan.edu.
