About us

Welcome to the Sustainable Design & Systems Medicine Laboratory at Rowan University. Our research focuses on leveraging process systems engineering principles in the areas of healthcare and the environment. We apply principles and methods from mathematical modeling, simulation, programming, data analysis, optimization, control, uncertainty analysis and stochastic processes for predicting treatment strategies and design decisions for problems in healthcare and the environment. Current research projects include (1) Systems Medicine for Cancer Therapeutics (2) Sustainability in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus (3) Solvent Recovery in Industrial Manufacturing Processes and (4) IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) Management via Predictive Analytics.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the research group, please send an email to yenkie@rowan.edu. We have openings for Ph.D. students.
